daily grind
Not too much but the daily grind today. I finally got Remote Access Services (RAS) setup on our Windows network at the school. We had it on Netware until we converted our network, and I just got around to setting it up on Windows. I started on it yesterday, and being the type who just dives into things, I went down a few wrong paths before I got it right. We have a Lucent Portmaster that folks dial into and then I setup RADIUS on Windows (I think it is called Internet Authentication Services in Win2k speak). I then proceeded to mess around with Routing and Remote Access Services for Windows until I realized that was for people without a handy dandy Portmaster. All I really needed to do was setup IAS get it talking to the Portmaster and vice versa.
Considering that is very boring information for some of you, I might have to create a separate computer category so that those of you who only care about reading about my general goings on can filter out this stuff.
Ok, some general goings on.
I really meant to start running and working out this week. I am so sedentary in my job. I mean, I get up and walk here and there during the day, but nothing even close to physical activity. Anyhow, I stayed up too late on Sunday night and couldn’t get up to run on Monday. Since I only scheduled running for MWF I didn’t run today. I did do a combination of push ups, jumping jacks, sit ups, calf raises and stretching. I feel like crap now.
In other news, my wife notified me that she had “never lit anything” before me. Apparently I introduced the girl to matches. She had just never had the need to light anything in her whole life. It probably wasn’t really me though - it was all those candles that we got as wedding gifts. We are still enjoying some of them more than 2 years later now…
Okay, that’s all.
