weekend fun
Wow - great weekend here. Slept in til about 9 on Saturday. Did some running around town (bank, farmer’s market, drugstore). Came back home and had tomato sandwiches with fresh tomatos from the market. Planned a cookout at a local park and got together with some friends (Phil, Liz, Chad, Julie) and had a good time. We tossed a frisbee and football around, at burgers and brats and burned flies with our fire starter. Then we went out to a frozen custard place and got custard (duh). It was tasty. We then reconvened to our place and played some cards.
Today has been great. Sunday school and church were good. We started reading “The Purpose Driven Life” for Sunday school, and we had some good critical discussion about the book this morning. Some of us in the class are of the mind that God’s Will is not some tight rope that you are either on or off. That is kind of contrary to the view of the guy in the book. Church was good too.
This afternoon I lazed around and played some Madden. Sarah and I went on a walk around town and took some pictures. We then came back and have since been listening to the Browns game. Only seconds left and the Browns are within striking distance, down by 5. Exciting stuff.
