3am smiles
Well, Curtis had some playtime at 3am this morning. I tried to convince him otherwise, but he was wide awake and smiling. Sarah isn’t feeling well so I got to have the fun with him. He is such a morning person - even at that early hour! He must get that from his mom…
Last night we had a good time visiting with some friends, Phil and Liz. Phil and I played some Madden 2004. I beat him twice. 24-21 (Browns over Rams) and 50-20 (Dolphins over Packers). He took me out of commission the previous time we played, so I had to redeem myself.
We then played a couple games of Euchre, guys vs girls, and the guys were victorious. We all had chocolate milks and things started to get funnier as it got later (later being defined as closer to 10:00 pm now that we have a baby). All in all it was a good evening spending some time with other adults.
Earlier in the week I caught up with a good friend named Luke who I had lost contact with for a few years. It was good to talk to him and see how he is doing. We are both new fathers, which is kind of crazy because I can easily remember going “cruising for chicks” with him back in high school, which basically meant driving around aimlessly for a while and winding up at Wal-Mart. Those were some fun times though.
Ok, perhaps I’ll write more later since I am staying home with a sick wife today.
