food day - salsa recipe

we had food day at work this week. the cholesterol-fest took place on Thursday - plenty of meatballs, sloppy joes, summer sausage (4 varieties!), and cheese (more than 4 varieties!) to go around. i brought my homemade salsa. here is how you make it:

2 cans of diced tomatos (or equivalent fresh tomatos)
1 can of green chiles
1 cloved garlic, minced
3 T of cilantro, finely chopped
1/2 lime, juiced
1/4 cup of onion, chopped (i prefer green onion)
1 t of salt
1 jalepeno pepper, chopped

toss all of that in the blender for 5 secs (chunky) or longer (smooth?). it is some mighty fine salsa. you will have a hard time eating that pasty stuff they sell in the store.
