just then, the door creaked open and …
… the dowski.com blog emerged, unscathed!
So this is my first post in about a month. I won’t bother to make excuses. I’ll just tell you all a little bit about what is going on.
We bought our first house a couple months ago, and just moved in a couple weekends ago. Before that, we totally remodeled the bathroom with tons of help from father-in-law Kent and brother-in-law Joseph. It looks fantastic, IMHO. We have been priming and painting and cleaning gutters and mowing grass and averting disasterous geysers from the toilet water feed and siphoning geyser water out of the crawl space and jury-rigging latches onto the dryer that refuses to stay shut on its own and on and on and on. We like having a house though! Seriously.
On the Curtis front - he is crawling like a maniac, and pulling himself up on any object stable enough (and not) to support him and jabbering about “ma” and “da” and “ba” and screaming with joy and cruising along objects he is supporting himself on and feeding himself Cheerios and on and on and on. He is more fun than ever.
So it is evening here and I have a cold and Sarah is reading a Dobson book and relaying some interesting and annoying things that he wrote and we are listening to the Hayride on the local country station. A nice time. Except the stupid cold. Stupid.
Bad news though. We are back on, *gasp*, dialup! FOR NOW! I plan on putting an antenna on the old TV antenna tower in the backyard and getting back to broadband. My plan doesn’t include a real time table though, so it might be a while.
Alright - I hope to return to my semi-regular blogging schedule.

Hey Christian!
Great to see you’re alive and well. The videos of Curtis were decent evidence — but BLOGS — those are real.
Actually i can’t get my quicktime to play the videos yet, but I suspect i just need to download a little something….
congratulations on your house! and a completed bathroom — that’s no small feat…
hey to sarah, and beware of dobson books!
