the occasional occurrence

For those of you who might someday be in this position - take note;

DO NOT send a sympathy card upon the passing of someone’s pet unless you are *absolutely sure* that the animal is in fact dead. Just because you hear that the animal is on the brink of death, and that they are going to be “put to sleep” the next day, doesn’t mean it is really done for. As a matter of fact, wait for a death certificate or something. Cause it might get better.

Otherwise, it can be very embarassing.
