Happenings

Man, I haven’t said much in the blogosphere lately.

Let’s see … I am still juggling. I am getting the hang of four balls and have “flashed” (tossed and caught) five a few times. I got my dad hooked on juggling when he and mom were here for a visit last month. I gave him my duct-bean-sweatsock balls and bought myself some real juggling balls.

We had a fun time in Ohio for Easter. We spent 5 days with Sarah’s fam and my dad and sister came down on Easter Sunday to hang out with all of us. It’s really nice that our families get along with each other. Curtis needed some major grandma-grandpa-uncle-aunt detox when we got home. Spoiling comes naturally to family, I think.

Sarah is learning knitting and it getting along well with it. She always gets into productive hobbies while I do things like juggling and fantasy baseball. I think I’ve finally come up with one to compete on her level though.

I have decided to build a boat.

That’s right, an honest-to-goodness-tool-around-a-lake-in-it boat. I have my eye on plans for a 10ft row/outboard/sail boat. It says it doesn’t require any special skills or tools, so that means I qualify.

So I’m on a boat quest. Ahoy, ye land lubbers.

You are building a boat? Something tells me that no “special skills or tools” required for building the boat means that the boat itself will actually be rather “special.”

Faith knits too. She hasn’t mastered any of the other fighting weapons of Kung Fu, but she can wail with the needles.
