Civ4
I preordered Civ4 yesterday. The game gets released in a week, and then I’ll have to wait a few days for shipping. Then it will be mine! Haha! Of course, with a wife, a two year old son, a baby on the way and other interests and pursuits, the entire days-stretching-into-nights-into-days devoted to world domination are probably over. But I’ll take what I can get
I haven’t been into modding Civ for years, but a new release coupled with Python scripting support might change my mind. I can’t wait to see how much of the game is exposed to Python scriptability. I know I blogged about it before, but the combo of Python and Civ is just ridiculously perfect.
I still have my original copy of Civ I (5 1/4″ floppies, baby). Me and Civ go back a long way. Civ, meet Python; Python, Civ.
Ok, enough.

I remember my first date with Civ2, I was a freshmen in Upper Barclay. You aren’t kidding about days turning into nights and back into days. I would easily play until my first class from a “quick game” that started in the evening.
