In all seriousness though, great post.  Being the son of 2 history teachers, I'm definitely indoctrinated with history-as-the-most-important subject.  Yet I grew up in a non-denominational church with no sense of spiritual history.  After all the splits that church had been through, the past wasn't something they were interested in dwelling on.</description>
